Mayushi Bhagat, a 29-year-old female student from India, went missing from her Jersey City apartment on April 29, 2019, clad in “colourful pyjama pants and a black T-shirt.” Reported missing on May 1, 2019, her disappearance has prompted both the FBI Newark Field Office and the Jersey City Police Department to seek public assistance. The FBI has intensified efforts, offering a substantial $10,000 reward for any information leading to Bhagat’s location or recovery.
Last July, the FBI added Bhagat to its “Missing Persons” list, urging the public to share relevant information. Born in India in July 1994, Bhagat was studying at the New York Institute of Technology on a student visa.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, Bhagat has friends in South Plainfield, New Jersey, according to the FBI statement. Standing at 5’10” with black hair and brown eyes, she arrived in the United States in 2016 on an F1 student visa. Her ‘Missing Person’ poster is featured on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” page under “Kidnappings/Missing Persons.”

The FBI said that anyone with information about Bhagat, her whereabouts or her disappearance, should call FBI Newark or the Jersey City Police Department.
“They could receive a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her location or recovery,” the statement issued last week said.
