2 Indian nationals found dead in West Africa, embassy says ‘strongly taken up matter’

NEW DELHI: Two Indian nationals were found dead in the West African nation of Abidjan, the Indian embassy informed on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Santosh Goel & Sanjay Goel, the embassy further said, adding that the matter has been taken up by the local police for investigation.
“Two Indian nationals who were found dead in Abidjan have been identified as Mrs.Santosh Goel & Mr.Sanjay Goel.Our deepest condolences to the family”, the embassy said in a post on X.

Ensuring full support to the family and the transportation of mortal remains, the embassy said, “Embassy is extending all possible support to the family & coordinating with local authorities for transportation of mortal remains.”
“We have strongly taken up the matter with the local authorities for thorough investigation,” it added.
